too sore, cant type, will try anywyas.

today was a slow day at work. I got to unpack and setup six multifunction dell printer/scanner thingies… Dell 1600n’s i believe. Kinda a cool unit actually. ~300 for a laser printer/fax/scanner with built in Ethernet. After I did that i just got to work on stuff at the office for the rest of the day. After work I went on my bike ride right away. I got through the vasona region real quick as usual, but then i ran into my friend Nick Baggarly, who heads up a non-profit organization called ‘drive around the world’. He just recently got back from his trip, and as I go on my bike ride every day I see his land rovers which have just returned. Today he happened to be outside working on them so i had a nice time talking with him for a bit. Check out his website linked above, his travels are for a good cause, to raise money for the Parkinson’s institute.

After talking for a bit with Nick, I continued on my bike ride to the top of St. Joseph’s Hill. As I approached about the 75% marker someone started to catch up with me, and i decided that I was just being too lazy for that to happen, so I picked up the pace and beat him to the top of the hill, just to be smashed on speed right before the top by some guy on a single speed. Ive decided that people shouldn’t be able to pass me going up the hill, unless they are very seasoned at mountain biking, OR they have a single speed bike. The single speed bikes seem to pass me all the time, and there is nothing i can seem to do to keep up with them. Part of the reason I’m so sore now is because I did push ups and other similar types of exercises at the top of the hill. I feel like I just had the first day of crew practice at the beginning of the season when they just kick your ass to get in shape. I guess its a good feeling. The other impressive thing about my ride today was the decent back down to LG. I went really fast. The guy on the single speed with no suspension went faster. I couldn’t believe it.

car accident on 17 at lark today

I was driving back from Fry’s with Brian today, and just as we came across the Highway 85 bridge going south on 17, we saw this nasty accident going the other way. I don’t think anyone was hurt because there were no ambulances there, and lots of people were out of their cars already. There were about half a dozen cars involved with this pileup, but only one was flipped over.
