First day of class

So today was my first day back at De Anza and its quite different than it was during the summer session. For one, there was very little parking. It didn’t take long to find parking, but the lot was packed. Had to just take as spot as someone was leaving. My first class was Philosophy 2, Morals and Politics. This will be an interesting course as there are no tests, no final, only four two page papers, reading assignments and class participation. Another plus about this first class is that all the text and reading material are all past copyright contingencies and are all on Project Gutenberg. Yay for free textbooks. I wish all classes would do that. I’m now sitting in my second class waiting for it to start, I’ll update again when its over. This class is “Human Sexuality”

Apparently there is now free wifi in the L-quad buildings, I’m not sure if you are on GPRS or not but you should check it out if you are.

yeah ive seen it there and relied on it durring summer school, but it is very crippled. port 80 works and 110, but smtp does not. Now I use my Verizon Broadband EVDO connection, which is about 1mbps/144k anywhere :)
